The Omni building is now totally complete, including painting.
The big dig was to expose the well head so Partridge Well could begin “plugging” it today.
The very old ball valve was cleaned up and “with fingers and toes crossed” it was closed and held.
The main feed pipe was cut and a new adapter fitting was put in place
The pumping rig was put in place
And the slurry hose was connected.
Once done the old valve was cut loose
The pumper was fired up
Pressure was established using the pump
There was a chemical/water tank on the truck used to make the slurry mix
Portland cement was then added to the mixer
And pumped into the well.
All is complete. We will wait several days to make sure everything sets and there is no leakage. Then the casing will be cut back four feet below grade so there will be no interference with the foundation work.
